Google Assistant's Quick Phrases feature, introduced with the Pixel 6, is designed to let users respond quickly to incoming calls or alarms with simple commands like “Stop” or “Snooze.” However, some Pixel users are encountering an issue where the Quick Phrases bubble — which should disappear after responding — remains stuck on-screen.
This problem is appearing on both the Android 15 stable release and the QPR1 beta, affecting not just Quick Phrases, but other Google apps as well. The bug means the prompt stays visible even after you've given your command.
Unfortunately, this issue appears to stem from the Google app, which means there's little users can do except wait for a fix. The bug requires a server-side update, so it's up to Google to resolve it.
Possible Workarounds:
- Restart your Pixel: This has helped some users, but the problem might come back.
- Disable Quick Phrases: This will stop the pop-up but also removes the convenience of the feature.
While these workarounds may provide temporary relief, the best solution is to wait for Google to release a hotfix. Given that reports have been surfacing for several days, a fix is likely on the way soon.
